About
Bruce has been involved with all phases of construction and home repair ever since he could hold a hammer – and that was a long time ago! Bruce has been a general contractor and residential home builder for over 40 years and continues to offer home repair services. He bought an RV to hit the road, and then discovered that maintaining an RV was not that different from maintaining a sticks and bricks home, and that traveling down the road at 65 MPH was like subjecting an RV to an earthquake every time you took a trip. It wasn’t the big things that were problematic. It was all of the little things that need attention in an RV that were taking his time:
-
The mystery screws that seemed to appear after every trip,
-
The doors that wouldn’t stay closed,
-
The shelves that wouldn’t stay up,
-
The odd things RV manufacturers thought were useful that could be easily improved,
-
The routine maintenance items needing attention,
-
The small cosmetic touches that made his wife crazy but which could easily be changed....
As Bruce easily fixed these small things, he realized that having an RV was like having a home on wheels. He realized that although these things were easy for him to fix, they could pose a challenge for many RVers who lacked either the skill or the time to address them. Bruce realized there was no one to call to address these “home related” items, which were the very things he had spent a lifetime addressing – and the RV Handyman was born.
Bruce splits his time between Rhinebeck, New York and Saint Simons Island, Georgia, with travels on the road in between. Bruce brings his toolbelt with him wherever he goes, and his current location can be found on this interactive map.
There are people to call when major RV systems fail. But when it’s the little things, that become the big things, that need addressing – the RV Handyman is at your service!
No job too small and many jobs not too big!
